Students K-12

The Southeast Regional AHEC staff works with schools to prepare students for healthcare careers and introduce students to a wide variety of healthcare careers. We develop hands-on programs as well as coordinate shadowing opportunities, and offer students an opportunities to participate in college tours, healthcare career days and summer enrichment programs.

Professional Education

The Southeast Regional AHEC staff provides workforce development opportunities for healthcare professionals in urban and rural settings, medically under-served populations, and health professional shortage areas in Southeast Michigan. Resources will be leveraged to provide healthcare professionals with access to training and continuing education. These professional development opportunities will ensure healthcare professionals and the knowledge, resources and expertise to serve their local population.
